We have recently spoken about whatever situations, actions, routines which we no longer find difficult, strange or unusual (therefore, "we are used to them" because "we have got/got used to them"). I guess sometimes, especially in the midst of spontenous, unplanned speaking, that can be confused with "used to", as when talking about habits of the past (not a habit anymore).

The girl speaking on the video of the link below hosts a very cool Youtube channel about English grammar and vocabulary. She has a pretty thick Hindu accent I guess, but that's of course representative of today's role of English as a lingua franca.
If you just want to hear people speaking Standard British English (what's that, anyway?), stick to Euro-f******-News or the English File Coursebooks!

Used to vs. Be Used to/ Get Used To
